StreetCode Academy regularly photographs and records our programs to illustrate the beauty of our community with future students, partner organizations, and supporters from across the globe. We use these photos and videos in public spaces like our weekly email newsletter, local news broadcasts, billboards, online marketing, social media posts, flyers, and other distributed print documents so that we can continually connect new and existing community members with resources and opportunities.


The following Content Release Form requests your permission for us to include media files collected from you, your child, and/or a minor under your guardianship in these public spaces. We take great lengths to protect the privacy of all of our program participants and the integrity of the media captured during these programs. We will never, at any time, create a public post of an individual that includes their name without their consent. We will make no changes to this agreement without prior approval of those modifications or amendments from you.


With your permission, your image and story can empower communities of color with the mindsets, skills, and access to participate in the innovation economy. Thank you for your willingness to participate in the creation of photos, videos, and other content for StreetCode Academy (“StreetCode” or “our” or “we”). This Content Release Form (this “Agreement”) outlines, among other things, ownership of the resulting content and the rights to use them as we see fit.

* You hereby agree to be photographed and/or recorded using audiovisual equipment by StreetCode and/or its designees.

* You hereby agree that your children or minors under your guardianship may be photographed and/or recorded using audiovisual equipment by StreetCode and/or its designees.

* You hereby agree that all rights to such photography and recorded media (collectively, the “Materials”) will vest exclusively in StreetCode. You hereby agree to allow StreetCode to include your name, likeness, and/or biographical information in the utilization of the Materials.

* You hereby acknowledge and agree that the Materials may be reproduced, modified, publicly performed, publicly displayed, distributed, exhibited, transmitted, broadcast and otherwise utilized by StreetCode or its designees and subcontractors on a perpetual, worldwide basis in any form, format or media, whether now known or hereafter devised. You hereby agree to waive your right to examine or approve any use, publication, modification, exhibition or other utilization of the Materials.

* You expressly release StreetCode and its employees, contractors, and designees from any and all claims, demands, damages, liabilities, causes of action, costs and expenses (including reasonable attorney fees), at law or in equity, known or unknown, that you may now or hereafter have arising out of StreetCode’s or its designees’ utilization of the Materials.

* This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of California without giving effect to applicable conflict of laws provisions. No modification of or amendment to this Agreement, nor any waiver of any rights under this Agreement, will be effective unless in writing signed by the parties. If any provision of this Agreement shall be determined to be unenforceable, all other provisions shall remain in full force and effect and the affected provision shall be construed so as to be enforceable to the maximum extent possible.


By signing below, you warrant that you are of the age of consent (18 years or older), and you acknowledge that you have completely read and fully understand the above and agree to be bound thereby.
