Markesha Tatum

Markesha is an all around go-getter! Originally from Southern California (Inland Empire), but has been a Bay Area resident for the last 17 years. Markesha holds two Associate Degrees: English and Early Childhood Education. Additionally, she is in the midst of completing coursework to fulfill the requirements for her Bachelors degree in English Literature from San Francisco State University. She is the oldest out of seven siblings, which allowed her plenty of space for creativity and teaching. Markesha enjoys designing equitable curriculums and project-based activities for students of all ages. Markesha continues to pursue her endeavors in education by volunteering her time at her daughter’s school and other community programs. Markesha enjoys spending time with family, traveling, reading, yoga and experiencing new cultural delights! Markesha is excited to use her creativity and embrace new challenges as Streetcode’s newest Instructional Design Associate.

Fun Facts
Generally, always happy, Markesha loves watching quirky movies. She has an adult daughter in college and she loves chili cheese fries with onions!
