In 2020, Deija completed her associate’s degree at Foothill College, and in 2023, she received a B.A. in Communication Studies from Sacramento State. Her journey with StreetCode began in 2019 when she joined as a Lead Teacher for Jr. StreetCode, and then in 2021 was brought onto the Digital (Mindset?) Team. Beyond her professional pursuits, Deija has a passion for photography, which serves as her creative outlet for capturing and sharing the world’s beauty. Whether through the lens of a camera or the communication skills she hopes to continue positively impacting the lives of others and contributing to the vision of StreetCode.

- I’m cross-dominant meaning I use a different hand for different activities. I write and hold a fork in my left hand but I throw with my right!
- At the age of four years old I was already playing PC games. One of my favorites was Lilo and stitch; Hawaiian Adventure. Today my favorite PC game is Sims
