Quincy Sanders is a native of Portland, Oregon and grew up in a community much like the communities StreetCode Academy serves. Growing up involved in programs like StreetCode, Quincy learned early on how important mentorship and community support was to not only the youth but for everyone trying to overcome societal adversities while reaching for success. With over 15 years of corporate sales experience, Quincy felt it was time to put his learning and experience to use in a more meaningful way and play his part in making a real impact on society. That is the mindset that brought him to StreetCode where is now the Development Manager, He plays a big role in helping bring in the resources needed for StreetCode to continue on its mission towards empowering communities of color to achieve their full potential by introducing the mindsets, skills, and access needed to embrace tech and innovation. Quincy is no stranger to overcoming adversity and working hard towards life goals, with that, the love for helping others motivates him to be a driver of change and impact.

Fun Facts
Quincy loves to cut hair out of his home barbershop. He loves playing, watching, and coaching football. He also loves cooking and has mastered his grandmother’s Gumbo and Sweet Potato Pie recipes. Most of all, he enjoys spending time with his wife Jasmyne, his three daughters – Deija, Aaliyah, and Quinn – and his dog Nipsey!
