Juanita is a Belle Haven (eastern Menlo Park, CA) native. She attended and graduated from the Ravenswood City School District and Ravenswood High School in East Palo Alto. She attended and became a TA at an East Palo Alto black independent community college, Nairobi College. While raising 2 children, she held down 2 positions, Computer Lab staff | supervisor and part-time Computers, Technology and Information Systems instructor at Foothill College. After retiring from her staff position, she came back to her communities (East Palo Alto and Belle Haven) to serve them in a variety of ways. She loves being at StreetCode where she can continue to teach tech and help others gain or improve their professional and tech skills.  

Fun Facts Juanita loves to dance and to invite others to join her. She teaches Soul Line Dancing at local Centers and on Zoom. She and her seniors can be found performing at local community events on the peninsula. Soul Line Dancing is her exercise of choice and her claim to fame locally.
